As a project manager in my day job, I have very high standards and expectations when it comes to planning, preparation, communication, and follow-through. From the moment I reached out to East Coast Metal Roofing for a consultation until the last bits of finish work on my punch list were completed, Dave Harrison and the rest of the East Coast Metal Roofing crew delivered beyond my expectations. While normally I am used to contractors or consultants being poor communicators when things either don’t go to plan or the plan changes, ECMR and Dave Harrison were the exact opposite. Every time I reached out to anyone on the team, whether via phone, text, email, or in person, I always received a prompt reply, and never felt like they were annoyed by my questions. Further, if those conversations ended in someone from ECMR saying, “I will get back to you”, I consistently received a follow-up in a reasonable amount of time. Because I’ve been burned so frequently in the past, I always mentally track how many times every contractor drops the ball, resulting in me needing to do additional legwork to get an answer or a solution. I am extremely pleased to say ECMR did not drop the ball even once. They kept me informed at every step of the process, checked in to make sure things were progressing as expected, and never once made me question how much money I just spent on a new roof. I walked into this transaction nervous about whether paying this much for a metal roof would be worth it, but I am walking away absolutely certain that I made the right choice by going with ECMR. Lastly, you might read some negative reviews about ECMR (I saw some when collecting quotes), but the key takeaway for me was that in every circumstance I saw, ECMR followed up with the customer to make things right. I respect that. While they can’t predict how every customer will react to the experience and end product, they can control what they do to make things right. ECMR impressed me with the lengths they’re willing to go to make their customers happy with the end result. That’s ultimately what won my business, and that was my experience as well.
