The roof is excellent quality and really upgraded the look of the house. Choosing terracotta was nerve-racking at first since it’s such a bold color, but I have no regrets. I’ve received many compliments, even from friends who would never pick that color themselves. A few notes: - Rain noise is no louder than asphalt shingles and actually sounds pleasant. A satisfying gentle "ping." Only noticeable when the windows are open and above a roofline (in my case over the porch). - You can walk on it. - The installation leaves no exposed seams or edges; everything matches perfectly. - The terracotta color does appear to shift tone a lot depending on the lighting, moving from a darker terracotta to ever so slightly pink-ish. I find most pictures online make it look lighter than it really is. As for the team at East Coast Metal Roofing, the office staff were efficient and well-organized. During the estimate phase, they clearly set expectations—this is a premium product ($$)—and made the process feel as easy as possible. Andrew B. (Product Specialist), Keith Z. (QC), and Jenna and Milena (Office Management) stayed in touch throughout the project. My biggest thanks go to Edgardo and the crew who installed the roof. They worked tirelessly for several days, kept the site clean, and left the property spotless when finished. The only negative was that the dumpster driver from the waste removal company ran over part of the lawn and left some pretty substantial ruts I'll need to deal with in the spring. That was on the hauler, not East Coast, so I don’t hold it against them. It’s definitely an investment, but one I’d make again. With luck, I’ll never need another roof.
