Metal Roof in Scituate, MA

We had a very complicated roofing project: removal of two layers of asphalt shingles, removal and replacement of 24 solar panels, flashing of 19 skylights and replacement of three more. Rep Chris helped us make the difficult decision to switch to metal interlocking shingles. We are so glad we did. The roof on our 19th Century barn home did not leak for the first time in 20 years despite the rainiest summer ever in Massachusetts. We feel good about the lower environmental impact of using more recyclable materials. The roofing teams were skilled and extraordinarily hard working (thank you to the Manuels, Lucy and Victoria and all of the others whose names we did not catch). The materials, environmental dumpsters, plywood and equipment arrived as needed and Doug was on top of quality control. The timing of the project to coincide with a dry week in May was perfect. Finally, we really like the way the roof and the improved solar array look. Confident but standing by to see how well everything works in a nor'easter or blizzard this winter!
